Glycolic Renewal Smoothing Lotion is ideal for those seeking a lightweight exfoliating body lotion with Glycolic Acid. Perfect for normal or oily skin types. Start with these Resurface Collection products before moving up to higher-strength AHA formulas in the Resurface Collection.

If you have been using this product for at least three months and have been tolerating it well, you may want to increase the strength of the Glycolic Acid treatment to NeoStrata Resurface Lotion Plus which contains 15% Glycolic Acid. If you can tolerate this higher-strength product, it will be even more beneficial.

Key Ingredients:

Glycolic Acid 8%: a natural component of sugar cane that normalizes the skin’s exfoliation process, refining the appearance of pore size and smoothing the look of fine lines and wrinkles as it retexturizes skin. Glycolic Acid is known to be the workhorse of the Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) family for those looking to really retexture and refine their skin’s surface. Glycolic Acid is scientifically proven to target skin’s natural filler, plumping and volumizing the appearance of skin, so that wrinkles appear smoother.

Citric Acid: found naturally in citrus fruits and is a powerful Alpha/Beta Hydroxy Acid (AHA/BHA) that has antioxidant and corrective antiaging effects, helping to minimize the visible signs of photodamage. This AHA/BHA gives the added benefit of being a powerful antioxidant to help protect skin against the visible signs of oxidative stress and make skin appear more youthful.

Directions: Apply to face, hands, and/or body following cleansing. Apply once daily for two weeks and twice daily thereafter, as tolerated.

Pro Tip: Sunscreen is an essential part of any resurfacing regimen. We recommend an SPF 30 or above applied to areas where Glycolic Acid is being used. Sunscreen is your skin’s best friend all year round, even on cloudy days where UV radiation can still penetrate cloud cover. Remember to reapply sunscreen at least every 2 hours to ensure consistent coverage.

Precaution: Products that contain Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA’s) may cause initial flaking, tingling, or irritation to the skin. For some this may be part of the normal resurfacing process. This generally improves as the skin ‘gets used’ to the treatment. AHA products may be introduced with less frequent use, and application can be increased as the skin acclimates. Discontinue use if you have severe redness, itching, burning, rash, swelling, or blistering.
